Gather your materials
Peptide vial, bacteriostatic water (BAC water), sterile syringe, and alcohol wipes.
Clean the vial stoppers
Wipe both the peptide vial and BAC water vial with an alcohol wipe. Let them dry for 30 seconds.
Draw the BAC water
Draw your calculated volume (use the calculator above) into the syringe.
Inject slowly down the wall
Insert the needle at an angle so water flows down the inside wall of the vial. Do not spray directly onto the powder.
Dissolve gently
Swirl the vial slowly. Do not shake. Most peptides dissolve in 1-3 minutes.
Label and store
Write the peptide name and date on the vial. Store in the fridge at 2-8°C.

- Let vials reach room temperature before opening to prevent condensation.

How much bacteriostatic water should I add to my peptide?
For most 5–10 mg peptide vials, 1–2 mL of bacteriostatic water is recommended. Add enough to fully dissolve the lyophilized powder — usually 1 mL per 5 mg of peptide. What syringe size should I use for peptide dosing?
A 0.3 mL (30-unit) or 0.5 mL (50-unit) insulin syringe is ideal for most research peptide doses under 0.5 mL. Use a 1 mL syringe only for larger volumes. Smaller syringes have finer gradations, making it easier to draw precise volumes. The calculator adjusts results based on your syringe size.
